Back in 1999, I got bit by the R/C car bug. Specifically, I got hooked on radio controlled touring cars. This is one fun hobby!!!  There are all sorts of car bodies to get.  Plus, you can get all sorts of wheels!!! It's a racer boy's dream!  Here's a sampling of some of my cars as well as some other people's cars.

My first touring car is an HPI RS4 Sport. This car seemed like a good first kit. It's got a bunch of hop-up parts available, it's well made, and all the local stores (normally) keep parts in stock. I put in a Trinity Chameleon Pro 19T motor with a Novak Explorer II Sport electronic speed control and an Airtronic Rival Sport for my radio system. Yeah, I know, it's not stuff of legends, but it's a starting point. For wheels, I got a set of Kawada chrome VX wheels. The RS4 Sport kit I got was the Integra Type R, and the wheels it came with totally sucked, so I just big time had to replace them.

For my second car, I got a HPI RS Pro 2.  I just got it, so I don't have any photos of it.  The picture of the Pro 2 chassis on the right is from the HPI Racing website.  After I get the thing put together, I'll be putting up some pictures.  Some of the bodies that I got recently but still have to paint are an HPI Acura NSX, an HPI Lexus GS400, a CEN Toyota Supra, a mini Skyline, and an HPI Mercedes Benz 190 DTM.

Update:  I realized I'd never get around to this, so I sold it on Ebay.  See ya'!!

Here's some pictures of my various body and wheel combinations.  As I get/paint more, I'll be sure to put them up.

Here's my Tamiya NSX.  It's really the AVEX DOME NSX, but I decided to paint it yellow.  It's sporting some HPI 6-spoke wheels on M-compound wide tires.  The set up looks pretty good, but traction sucked.  Strictly for show.

This is the Tamiya Celica All-Trac body. Tamiya honestly seems to make the best looking bodies.  Body details are great, and the lexan seems thicker than most other brands.  This Celica has some Yokomo "inch-up" 5-spoke wheels on Ride narrow slicks.  This set handled pretty good.

I also got an off-road buggy recently.  It's a Team Losi XX.  I'm in the process of getting its electronics put into it and putting on the stickers.  When this is done, I'll get some photos put up.  In the meantime, here's a picture of my first R/C car.  I got a Tamiya Fox ten years ago and recently checked to see if it still worked.  It did, but it's transmission was pretty stripped out.  It's pretty difficult to get some parts for it, so I gutted it of it's electronics for the Losi XX.  Oh well.  It was great in its time.  So long Fox.

Here's some photos of other people's cars and trucks:

My brother-in-law Anthony started R/C stuff just after me.  He's more into trucks, 'cuz he just wants to run over things.  Anyways, he first got a Traxxas Stampede.  Then he got an HPI RS4 MT.  Here's a picture of his HPI truck.

Eddie got into touring cars with me.  He also got an HPI RS4 Sport, but he got the Corvette kit.  He got the same radio set-up as my Sport, but his motor is a Midnight 2.  Here's also a picture of his Protoform Silverado body.  He already put together an RS Pro2 kit together, but I ain't got any pics yet.
